OpenSquilla 0.5.3 maintenance release
🦐 OpenSquilla 0.5.3 is a maintenance release for the 0.5 stable line. It adds durable Goal orchestration, makes long-running chats and queued follow-ups more resilient, expands Skills and scheduling workflows, refines the Web and Desktop interfaces, and strengthens recovery, upgrades, sandbox, provider, and usage behavior.
🎯 Durable Goals and long-running tasks — Goals can persist across turns and continue automatically with visible progress. Pause, resume, edit, clear, and Plan-mode deferral controls keep users in charge, while long-running streams recover more cleanly from renderer reconnects and temporary activity gaps.
💬 Sessions, follow-ups, and history — queued follow-ups and attachments survive reconnects and keep their order. Project handoffs and session forks preserve their intended context, while compaction and prompt-cache continuity are more reliable.
🖥️ Web and Desktop experience — the responsive top bar, floating and collapsible composer, sidebar sections, created-chat cards, session counts, artifact presentation, and assistant-answer boundaries have been refined. Desktop diagnostics and connection recovery are also more reliable.
🧩 Skills, schedules, and providers — Community Skills gain immutable source resolution, transactional management, and lifecycle diagnostics. MetaSkills, inline /meta requests, Cron workspaces, model discovery, DeepSeek reasoning replay, provider handling, and usage receipts are more consistent.
🛡️ Recovery, upgrades, and platform reliability — bounded configuration recovery, checksum-verified OSS-first updates, broader Safe/Full sandbox policies, LAN CIDR controls, named tokens, and tighter privacy and network safeguards improve operational safety.
Upgrading: quit the running Desktop app or gateway, install 0.5.3 directly over 0.5.2, and restart OpenSquilla. Existing configuration, chats, Agents, memory, and scheduled tasks are preserved; additive database migrations run automatically.
Checksums are provided through the .sha256 file and SHA256SUMS.
